In case you haven’t heard, I started a spin-off to The Reality Junkies called Teen Mom Junkies and it’s all about…you guessed it: Teen Mom, Teen Mom 2, and 16 and Pregnant! This week, we meet Markai. Markai lives with her mother, Sarina, and her sister, Samarra. All was going well until Markai met James, who also appears to be the bane of her mother’s existence. It could be because she got pregnant almost immediately after meeting James. She doesn’t want her daughter to make the same mistakes she did. So it’s yet another case of “Do as I say, not as I do.” I do know where she’s coming from though. She learned from the bad choices she made and doesn’t want her daughter to fall into the same trap.

This week, we meet Emily. Emily lives with her mother and is well on her way to becoming Suzy Highschooler. She’s pretty, she’s popular, she’s a majorette, she’s planning on going to college to become a pharmacist…and now she’s pregnant. When Emily’s mother hears the news, she kicks her daughter out, saying she won’t live under her roof as long as she’s pregnant. So Emily treks on over to her father, Stacey’s, house where she’s now living with him and her stepmother, Kelly. Emily’s boyfriend, Daniel, still lives in her old town an hour away, but he visits her on the weekends.
My thoughts:
Meet Felicia. Felicia will be the first person in her entire family to graduate from High School. Awesome, right? There’s only one stumbling block in her way…Felicia is pregnant. Felicia lives with her grandmother, her mother, Reina, and her stepfather, Tony. To make things easier on them, Reina allowed Felicia’s boyfriend, Alex, to move in with them once she found out Felicia was pregnant. As always, I have some thoughts:
Since Teen Mom is on hiatus, I decided to fill up my time with watching 16 & Pregnant. I have never actually seen the show before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve decided to do these posts in a different format. Instead of a full recap, I’m only going to post my thoughts, since I know you all love to read what I’m thinking as I watch TV. Don’t forget the occasional screenshot too, since a picture really is worth a thousand words; or, in some cases, ten thousand words.
